Zoe Cohen
About
Zoe Cohen is a UK-based management consultant, executive coach and climate and social justice activist. A former senior NHS manager, she has become a prominent spokesperson for Extinction Rebellion and related movements, appearing in mainstream media to discuss climate breakdown and the need for systemic change. She has been active in Defend Our Juries and other campaigns challenging state responses to protest. Cohen has spoken and written about Israeli state policies using terms such as occupation, apartheid and genocide, and has criticised the conflation of Zionism with Judaism and of Israel with all Jews. She describes herself as an anti-Zionist Jew and has participated in Jewish-led initiatives, including adding her name to statements by Jewish groups opposing Israeli military actions and supporting Palestinian rights, as well as taking part in pro-Palestine demonstrations and actions opposing the UK government’s proscription of Palestine Action.
