Susan Landau

Susan Landau, LCSW, is a career psychotherapist and educator whose work is deeply rooted in the ethical traditions of Judaism. For over twenty years, she has been a prominent voice in Jewish dissent, focusing on organizing, educating, and advocating for justice for all people in historic Palestine. Her dissent is characterized by a firm rejection of the coupling of Judaism with Zionism. She argues that the moral imperative of "Thou shalt not stand idly by" (Leviticus 19:16) demands an active opposition to the dispossession and systemic violence faced by Palestinians. As a founding member of American Jews for a Just Peace and a key organizer in Philly BDS, her work bridges clinical compassion with political resistance.
