South African Jews for a Free Palestine

South African Jews for a Free Palestine (SAJFP) is an organization of South African Jews working toward a just and peaceful end to the conflict in historic Palestine. The group rejects Zionism as a form of settler colonialism and publicly affirms the “vast tragedy of the Nakba.” It issues statements, organizes public actions, and collaborates with Palestinian solidarity organizations across South Africa. SAJFP regularly publishes analyses and statements on Israeli state violence, including genocide, apartheid, political assassinations, and environmental destruction (“ecocide”) in Gaza. The group supports South Africa’s genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice and calls for accountability for Israeli aggression. SAJFP also organizes community events such as Tu B’Shvat gatherings at the Nakba Memorial Forest in Johannesburg.
