Ronnie Barkan

Ronnie Barkan is an Israeli human rights activist and co‑founder of Boycott From Within, a group of Israeli citizens supporting the Palestinian‑led BDS movement. He has been active for more than two decades in campaigns challenging Israeli state policies, arms manufacturing, and military occupation, and is widely recognized for his public advocacy, direct action, and international speaking engagements. Barkan’s dissent is grounded in a principled anti‑Zionist position. He has described Zionism as an apartheid ideology and has framed his activism as a moral obligation rooted in universal human rights. His work includes participation in Palestine Action, public testimony, and extensive media engagement on issues of Israeli state violence, structural discrimination, and the rights of Palestinians.
