Rafael Shimunov

Rafael Shimunov is a Jewish activist, artist, and co-founder of The Jewish Vote, the electoral arm of Jews For Racial & Economic Justice (JFREJ). An immigrant Jew of Color from Soviet Uzbekistan, he has been actively involved in progressive Jewish movements in New York City. Shimunov is known for his activism around Israel-Palestine issues, including opposing the occupation, and his leadership in leftist Jewish discourse, exemplified by his hosting of the radio show 'Beyond The Pale,' dedicated to progressive Jewish perspectives.
