Oren Ziv

About

Oren Ziv is an Israeli photojournalist, reporter for +972 Magazine and Local Call, and a co‑founder of the Activestills photography collective. Since 2003, he has documented social and political struggles across Israel‑Palestine, including protests, displacement, and the daily realities of military occupation. His work has appeared in Haaretz, AFP, Getty Images, The New York Times, Al Jazeera, and other major outlets. Ziv’s reporting consistently exposes Israeli state violence, settler attacks, apartheid structures, and government repression. His investigations cover censorship of war reporting, settler militias, land seizures, and the systemic targeting of Palestinians. He has also publicly discussed documenting “the violence of apartheid” and the injustices of the occupation. His long‑term visual record forms a central contribution to contemporary Jewish dissent against Israeli state policies.
