Miko Peled

Miko Peled is an Israeli-American author, speaker, and human rights activist born in Jerusalem in 1961 into a prominent Zionist family, the son of an influential Israeli general and grandson of a signer of Israel’s Declaration of Independence. Over time he has publicly rejected Zionism, arguing that Zionism is a white supremacist settler‑colonial project and calling for the transformation of what he terms the “racist Zionist regime” into a single democratic state with equal rights across historic Palestine. Peled’s dissent is significant because it comes from within the Israeli Jewish elite whose history he openly challenges, including what he has called the “mythical narrative” of Israel’s founding.
