Joseph Dana

Joseph Dana is a Cape Town-based journalist and writer with over two decades of experience reporting from Jerusalem, Ramallah, and Istanbul. He holds an MA in European history and philosophy from the Central European University and has served as a contributing editor for +972 Magazine. His work focuses on the intersection of culture, politics, and urbanism, often examining the legal and social impacts of the Israeli occupation.Dana’s dissent is characterized by his public criticism of Zionism as a political ideology and his documentation of what he describes as "settler-colonial" structures. He has actively participated in and reported on Palestinian popular resistance and the Gaza flotilla missions.
