Jewish Currents
About
Jewish Currents is a progressive Jewish magazine founded in 1946 and rooted in the thought, activism, and culture of the Jewish left. It publishes news, political commentary, analysis, and Jewish art and literature, and describes itself as committed to the rich tradition of the Jewish left and the broader left. Historically non-Zionist and critical of Israeli state policies, the magazine has become highly critical of Israel and has supported positions including Palestinian self-determination, the right of return, and boycotts of Israeli businesses in the occupied West Bank. It provides in-depth coverage of Israel/Palestine, antisemitism, Jewish communal life, and wider questions on the American and global left.
