Hadas Emma Kedar

About

Hadas Emma Kedar is a Jewish Israeli PhD student in Communication Studies at the University of Hamburg, as well as an activist, artist, teacher and media/arts researcher. Drawing on her background in the Israeli school system and her later work as an educator, she publicly describes how Zionist narratives were taught to her generation, and how she came to view Zionism as inherently violent and colonial. In talks and media appearances she identifies as an anti‑Zionist and characterises Israel’s treatment of Palestinians in terms including apartheid, colonialism and genocide. Kedar participates in Jewish and international solidarity movements and is a co‑organiser of The Jewish Anti‑Zionist Congress, where she focuses on discursive and political change. Through lectures, protests, writing and interviews, she examines Israeli state violence, the role of education and media in shaping public opinion, and frames her anti‑Zionist stance as part of a broader commitment to social justice and Palestinian liberation.
