Eyal Weizman

Eyal Weizman is a British‑Israeli architect, researcher, and professor of Spatial and Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths, University of London. He is the founder and director of Forensic Architecture, a research agency that uses architectural, visual, and aural analysis to investigate human rights violations and state violence. He previously co‑founded the architectural collective DAAR in Beit Sahour, Palestine, and has taught at institutions including Princeton, ETH Zurich, and the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Weizman’s public dissent is expressed through his investigations into Israeli military operations, occupation practices, and structural violence. Forensic Architecture has produced detailed analyses of Israeli airstrikes, policing, and surveillance, contributing evidence to international prosecutors, human rights organisations, and justice groups. His work situates architectural research within broader movements documenting Israeli state violence and advocating for accountability.
